Anne or Stormgasm/STRMGSM has been a full time artist for over a decade, after studying Industrial Design and then graduating as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013.
Being self-employed gives her the freedom to dive into less obvious shapes of art. So when a friend challenged her to make a buttplug in 2023 she accepted the challenge after thinking on it for a bit. Then came doing the market research and gathering a group of testers, developing a sextoy turned out to challenge her skills in a way that was really motivating. After getting a great response on the first design others quickly followed. Being a one-person company that works with a material that demands a slower pace and smaller batches, she can offer a wide range of products. Slowly the collection is growing and inclusion of different bodies that don’t have a lot of options in the regular market is becoming more of a focus point.
Of course it’s not just an object for use that’s being made, it’s applied art. The way porcelain dictates the process and how Anne cooperates with it, creates one of a kind artworks that each tell their own story. Nature is her biggest source of inspiration for this, trying to bring users closer to it and the divine through acts of pleasure. Creating a relationship between themselves and nature by bringing it into their homes and lives. Having found something that carries this philosophy forward and being able to share it with people is one of the most valuable parts of this endeavor.
